I was on a train coming back from China and it turned into a roller coaster. It was a weird kind of roller coaster. You ride it hanging from handlebars, like handlebars they have in gymnastics. One of the handlebars broke and I fell on the ground. I climbed over a fence just before a guard dog got me. I think told them about the handlebar breaking. I thought I would at least get a refund, but instead they were rude. "No big deal," I thought, and walked out casually.
China has a territory in Canada next to Windsor. You can take the CTA Red Line or Brown Line there and there is a stop. Then the China line continues, but you have to transfer. I've had this dream before, once or twice. I always forget my passport, so I have to sneak past all of the security. There are Chinese agents all around, but for some reason they never catch me. The destination is a mini water park pool. The water is dirty and gross. It seems to transform back and forth from water park to river in my mind. All of a sudden it would be a river bustling with activity. While swimming in one section security guards were pulling people out of the water who did not have passports. I avoided them. Then I saw my Uncle Tim, mom, and sister. I told them I couldn't talk, because I forgot my passport, and didn't want to look suspicious. I snuck out through the side gate and proceeded to leave China. But, I forgot my backpack and it had my wallet and ID.
For some reason you have to dive like 40 feet into this giant filthy river and swim across. While I jumped, I thought of how I had done this before with my cat in a backpack, when I adopted her in China. The river is packed with cars, boats, and other people trying to cross. I jumped and well I was swimming I was almost kicked by a horse. I opened my eyes under water even though I knew it was polluted and I was doing major damage to my eyes. I kept swallowing water and it tasted putrid. My cat was playing with a huge dog. He was very friendly, but I was worried he might turn, because I didn't know anything about him.
Jumping to the backpack again. While leaving, my friend Nick from Peace Corps popped in and said don't worry he'd bring it back later in the week. It turns out he lives in the Chinese terrority to adjust since he got back from Peace Corps. "But what about my cat?" I asked him. Apparently I had brought her over to the water park also. I decided I would try to get my passport and go immediately back. I got home and it turns out everything is there. I have my wallet, backpack, cat, etc... Somehow I am back in China though trying to get a taxi home. I run into Gene Simmons from Kiss. I get the desk to call a limo, but then he disappears. He didn't realize I had gotten a limo. I wondered how I would pay for the limo. I ran and caught him at the border. I told him about the limo and he came back.
Back home, which was a city that seemed to be somewhat like Chicago, on a weird lakefront, I called Nick to make plans to go out in the Chinese Territory for drinks and dinner on Thursday or Friday. I remembered that I have plans for my friend Katie's birthday party Saturday, so I couldn't do it then. We made plans for dinner and drinks at the Golden Chicken, which is a 1000 yuen breakfast buffet. Nick asked me how the exchange rate worked. I assumed that the exchange rate was the same that it was from dollars to yuen everywhere in the world. I woke up before we made it to the golden chicken, but I was very excited about going.
Later I dreamt I was in my apartment again. It was much bigger. It was a 2 story cottage like building. I discovered a larger bedroom that no one was using. I was confused why my roomate wouldn't have let me used the larger room. He said it was because it was above him and it would be too noisy. The room overlooked a gorgeous park. I explained how the room would be better for me and he seemed to agree. Somehow we got to him talking to my friend Jess from Peace Corps about coming out for the 9 hole party he is doing this weekend (where you go around to 9 peoples houses and have a drink at each one.) He then started calling all of my friends.
Somewhere in the mix, I had another dream about China. I was just walking along a seaside road near a factory. Workers were walking by and I was saying, "ni hao." Again, I was worried I looked suspicious and wary of the security forces all around.
That's about all I remember. I know there were more crazy details.
