Being late in the city, you know that you are never alone. You have the comfort of bearing witness to the hundreds... thousands of people that are also late for work. No matter how late you are, there are always others in the same boat. And it makes you think, being late isn't really that bad. Maybe it's even the norm. The good ole' "problems with the train" excuse will always work, "Yeah, it was another jumper." Another excuse I've liked to use lately is that my bus had to wait for Obama's motorcade to pass through.
Better late than never.
